Lay back on the foam roller and adjust the foam roller to the right spot under your upper spine. Cross your arms over your chest reaching around yourself as if to take hold of opposite shoulder blades. Another example of pain under the shoulder blade is scapulothoracic bursitis also called snapping scapula syndrome. Relax and slowly let your upper back and arms sink towards the floor.
